Our Mission Story
In 1999 we made our first Mission trip to Mexico where we now work with 35 Evangelical Churches in and around the city of Valle Hermoso, just south of Brownsville, Texas. That first trip was the beginning of an incredible journey. Since our first trip, we have made over 25 return trips to Mexico with more than 100 different people from age ten to seventy-two. We have assisted in the building and establishment of a sixteen-bed nursing home. We have also helped with all aspects of building, roofing and remodeling church buildings. God has even allowed us the privilege (and fun) of driving a donated ambulance from Jacksonville, Florida to our city in Mexico! Our greatest joy is in participating in evangelism and outreach with the local churches.
Our hearts are truly with the people of Mexico, but it does not stop there.
In 1999 the doors were also opened for us to go to the Ukraine. We had the joy of seeing the only Church building in the city of Kalinovka (located outside the capitol city of Kiev) take shape.
For three years our teams assisted in purchasing and hauling bricks, mixing cement, and painting until the House of Prayer was dedicated. A space for “building God’s real church” has begun.
The local schools in Ukraine are open to church involvement and the Mayor is supportive of all we do. We have been so excited to come alongside new believers as they reach their community and the nearby villages of Omelyonovo and Blogdonovka.
These adventures speak to our belief that “two are better than one… and a cord of three strands is not easily broken.” We cannot reach all of Mexico and the Ukraine for Christ—but we can come alongside those who can!
And it doesn’t stop there! In 2007 we were able to travel to Prague where we visited Missionaries supported by our home Church. What a blessing to see what God is doing there. Then in January 2008 we traveled to the West Bank and Israel. Our hearts were touched as we saw the persecution of Christians in Bethlehem, Hebron, At-Tuwani and Jerusalem. Though we may never fully understand “the conflict”, we left a part of our hearts there. Our plan is to return to the West Bank to support these “living stones” who live day in and day out for their Lord and Saviour.
That is why we invite you to pray about going with us!
Your life will be changed. Your faith will be exercised in new ways as you see God supply your every need! You will learn to corporately trust God as you see national believers standing at the foot of a mountainous task overwhelmed by what lies ahead. Our brothers and sisters need someone to “come alongside” them, in faith, and help them complete the task. You will rejoice in what God will accomplish through His children working together.
